What u guys planting this fall and when u planting ??

I prob plant late sept to mid October before a rain

We getting so much rain practically every day now - wonder if we gone get long stretch of dry in fall

I planted probably just under 3 acres of corn I'm gonna leave standing and plant rows of either 5 way or 7 way

3 way then add any small seeds like clover after the cereal grains are covered. The month of October depending on rain is when I'll shoot for planting.

You already know we going to get that September drought.

FYI. We're having another banner year with Fall Army Worms in Miss'ippi...y'all can't be far behind.

We will plant WMS Deer Magnet and Buck Busters Fall mix along with a little extra clover. Wil plant second week in Sept and pray for rain.

How u like the Magnet Stoney?? Know several folks that Lov it. I did Alabama blend 2 years ago - saw 6-10 deer I n my big field on good day. Planted something diff last year - 3-5 was most I would see. Not sure if the 2 were related and only deer we ever killed out of that field was a buck in jan last year

Thinking about going to that Bama blend r the Magnet. Also thought about sav $ and just do 6 way w some extra clover - but I only got 3 very small fields and one avg size field so it want b huge cost either way

TDOG 93 - I have used Deer Magnet as as well as the Ala. Blend. The Magnet blend worked better for us. I did add a little Clemson Cover. Even though you only have only three fields, I would plant at least two different blends, which for your size and number of fields, you may only need two bags total. Also check you PH. Blends like we are discussing need at least a 6.5 PH.

I am going to plant cereal grains, and add brassica's and clover, and I might add some winter peas as well. I like to try to plant mid september, depending on the weather forecast. All of my smaller fields are going to be heavy in clover/fusion. You don't realize how much clover deer eat until you go out and cut it!!

I cut mine saturday ahead of all this rain. And fertilized it.

spray, disk and spread triticale and black oats. Then cultipack, then spread sugar beets and PTT and cultipack again.

If this rain keeps up I'll be planting rice.

I’m gonna try the WMS blends with some clover and maybe rape mixed this year. Probably plant mid sept or so depending on weather forecast.

Mostly oats with a little wheat.

I decided I am getting antler king clover w chicory - barrasicas from wms - fixation clover and berseem- some crimson and ladino and ladino regal clover along with Alabama blend and the magnet they sell

When I planted fixation clover it did not come up until the following spring.

usually plant mix of wheat oats rye, then change it up year to year with either clover or brassica mixes added in to basic mix. Ill try to start planting bout third week of September. sometimes it gets pushed to mid Oct.

I noticed today i had crimson clover coming up. Never seen it happen this early. Afraid its not gona make it.
