how few leases have turned over this year as compared to normal years? I'm always looking and normally, stuff will start to trickle onto their websites starting in early June, but this year, all the major players, Rayonier, Weyerhauser, RMS, Westervelt, AFOA, etc have only had a smattering of Alabama leases, as in like 15-20 total combined between them all. I guess covid didnt affect peoples wallets as much as anticipated. I'm pretty well connected and the only decent sized property I'm aware of at this time is in Marengo and it's not going to be listed publicly.

What’s aggravating is that I know of at least a dozen individuals that picked up leases from timber companies that never listed them publicly. Talked to one company last week and they tried to tell me those scenarios do not happen as I was eating lunch with a friend that just leased a 500 acre tract from them…

All this new hunter recruitment is paying off....... No telling how much timber leases will go up next year. Went up 2.50 a acre on me this year. Not sure about next but I won’t be worrying about it.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I have definitely noticed, i visit the same sights you spoke of and haven't found anything yet, I'm only looking for a small tract, 40-50 acres, they are hard to come by.....

Don’t you just love how our tax dollars are distributed straight to big businesses through a middle man?? All in the name of helping people. The same people who refuse to help themselves! It’s like giving panhandlers cash. The SAY they hungry but won’t take food. They Want the cash for non necessities.

A lot of property is going to Solar Farm companies. They will by a lease at $50 an acre with a 20 year contract.

I was going by monthly not yearly price, but both of those numbers are close to what I have seen.
