I know a few of yall are going to get tired of me axting questions but I have another Kentucky question and I'm sure this won't be the last one. laugh

Who all have hunted Land Between the Lakes in late October or early November ? I'm looking to get some advice on what area to hunt and a campground to put a pop up camper in.

Thanks in advance.

Ain't no deer in Kentucky wink

Just kidding, Area 8 is my favorite, there are alot of old home places, a few corn fields and a few clover plots in the fall. The area east of Wrangler's campground (which is a good campground)is bow hunting only and holds alot of deer. I usually hunt in Gordon Hollow. If you don't mind the occational "dude on a horse" riding by area 8 can be productive. Area 10 is worth a look also. Good luck. smile

Thanks for some very good info and it's greatly appriciated.

Hunting around horse riders doesn't bother me. We hunted the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois last year and it was nothing but one Huge horse trail. I saw a ton of riders but they didn't seem to spook the deer.

I'm heading up to southern Illinois this year myself. Did you have any luck up there last year? Got any tips for hunting up there?

I missed (grazed his back) on one that probably went in the mid 120's. I let two spikes, two three points and a small six and eight walk.
