Pretty cool. However I still don’t know why we have to have the National Anthem before- what seems to be- every team sporting event? We are a pretty patriotic nation to begin with, not sure what a baseball, football game has to do with playing the National Anthem every single time. Maybe it’s just me.
What does the playing of the Anthem hurt??? It reminds me and others, of what a GREAT nation I live in, and that these sporting events would not be being played without the heroes who died giving us the freedom up under that Anthem. It has turned into a "political thing" as everything these days has. 15,20,30,40 years ago it was a MUST before every event. I say keep playing it !!!!!!!! JMO

You ought to be required to recite it or write it before you vote. Then pledge allegiance to the flag, standing up at attention, with your hand over your heart.
IMO, every school day ought to start with it, every single dadgum one.
Every time someone is scheduled to get a check in the mail that they didn’t earn, they should be made to stand up in a community circle in front of the courthouse and do the same.
For all those overpaid titty baby athletes, they ought to have it force fed to them daily and if they don’t like it, go play ball in Mexico or somewhere.
Freedom wasn’t free, and it still ain’t. This was a great nation and still is, but we are quickly losing sight of the fact that the very values we say we wanted as freedoms are giving some the thought process that they don’t have to do anything they don’t want to, including respect the nation that provides them the security, financial well being, and rights that they enjoy.

Weeks of prayer requests on this site, Friday post about the National Anthem and I couldn’t resist- damn like shooting fish a barrel. Thanks guys
When enough people don't believe in prayer, joke about prayer requests and posts in favor of OUR National Anthem on a Friday, then taking over this great country would indeed be "damn like shooting fish a barrel". Careful what you do for enjoyment.
I can promise you that if I were by some miracle to become the owner of a sports franchise, Minicamp would include classes on the history of the Anthem, and learning the words inself. Don't want to do that, then there are other teams to play for. If I had enough money to do that then I would have enough money to pay my players a little more for being good Americans, or Hispanic visitors if it were a MLB team, or Canadians or Europeans with NHL.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
