What does the playing of the Anthem hurt??? It reminds me and others, of what a GREAT nation I live in, and that these sporting events would not be being played without the heroes who died giving us the freedom up under that Anthem. It has turned into a "political thing" as everything these days has. 15,20,30,40 years ago it was a MUST before every event.
I say keep playing it !!!!!!!! JMO How I feel
