I think I saw the same crazy Crackhead on the southern bypass at the 65 off ramp a couple of weeks ago. If the light had not turned when it did I might have been drawing mine. He was making his way toward me yelling. I mean bat$hit crazy yelling and jumping around while talking to himself.

I would just run the red-light before I shot a snigger. Justified or not. Who has the time to deal with that?

Crazy world. When my daughter was young I was leaving Publix and accidentally cut in front of some dude in a truck. Had some hag with him. No shirt. He jumped out raising hell. He threatening me and cussing. All the time walking towards my door. Old lady in front of me was watching in her mirror. I had my .40 in my hand just under my open window. Just before I was about to shoot the bastard the old lady pulled out and so did I. Left standing about 30 feet from his truck still cussing. Scared my daughter

At least the Huntsville cops keep them on a short leash at Governor's and the Parkway.

Glad it ended well.

I had a similar situation a few years back. I had my daughters in my Jeep, top & doors off, sitting at a red light waiting to turn left. Got my eye on a crackhead that is pacing around and hollering to my left. He walks across the street I am preparing to turn on, and when I got the green arrow, he came walking back into the street in front of my Jeep trying to block me yelling something. I drew on him and decided one of 3 things was about to happen:
1) he was going to block my way & get ran over
2) he was going to make a move at me or the kids (he's approaching from passenger side) and get shot
3) he was gonna get smart and get real still until I got by.

Thank God he chose #3 and I was able to swerve around him and proceed on.

About 15 years ago I was leaving Six Flags with my family and as I was crossing I20 to get on the westbound ramp there was a large Male Democrat standing in the middle of the overpass in my lane waving me down. At first I thought there must be a wreck or some kind of medical emergency but a flag went up in the back of my mind, so I reached into the console and grabbed my 1911 and laid it in my lap. As I pulled up to a stop he was at my window so I told him to back up a few steps. He saw the pistol laying in my lap with my hand on it. He backed up several steps and stopped then asked me if I could spare some cash. I told him no but I did have something for him as I reached across with my left hand. He hollered oh my God and took off running as fast as he could. I was just going to hand him a coke and a couple of bags of cookies. Oh well, try to help someone...

He thought you were going to hand him that 1911 and ask him to clear the jam...that's why he ran.

It's still in the back of my truck, stuck somewhere in the National Forest...

In all my years of traveling through the Gump and other ethnic based cities I always had my weapon ready, had to show it once in Jackson MS. and once in Memphis

Its that redlight scene that keeps playing over and over in my mind. I set my pistola in my lap when i cross the county line. I put my hand on it sitting at redlights. I put it in my back pocket when i get out of my truck. I put it back in the console when i go back across the county line.

Right around 2000 I was dating a girl in Birmingham. Left late one night headed back to Jasper via Minor Parkway. (It was faster before I-22). Anyway I carried a .357 trooper mkii back then and it was in my lap that night. I stopped at tuxedo junction at the red light and a crackhead opened my passenger door (Ford Ranger Manual Locks). As he tried to sit down he turned his head and bumped the barrel with his nose. He was butthole and elbows trying to get out of my truck lol.

My favorite is the sob story you get from someone about trying to make it to XYZ town that happens to be 300 miles away and they ran out of gas.

My response is always “You didn’t think how much gas it’d take?”
