I had to work till 12 today as soon as I got off I went home got my stuff and headed to the club .when I was 15 mins away my cell cam goes off and it’s a long beard so I go and set up in one area for a bit witn no action so I decided to get above where I got picture on a hardwood ridge. I set down and hit my brand new trumpet call from misfire and he hammers it. Give him few mins and I hit him again he cuts me off then I see him comin up the ridge strutting and I gave him a face full of #9’s thank you lord

AUdeerhunter 10 point Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 3,433 Cullman, AL	Heck of a hunt after the rain!!! I called 4 long beards into a food plot about 1:30, but they wouldn’t come any closer than 125 yards. I had to let them ease off, but was able to make a move and get them to gobble again about 75-100 yards from me. I snuck up to the edge of the hollow and gave them a few soft yelps. Within a couple of minutes, one of them craned his head up about 35 yards away and #4 was history!! He’s one of my better birds with an 11” beard and 1 1/8” spurs

Then on way out I bumped a gobbler, possibly the same one. How spooked do y’all think he is he did fly up to a tree and I just slowly went other way?
