Parker243 OP 8 point Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 1,634	My wife and I went into her 35 week appt for out first son this past Wednesday and she was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia. We went home and were told to monitor her blood pressure and it stayed up pretty high. We had to be admitted into the hospital Thursday and were told we’d be here until 37 weeks (best case scenario). A couple of hours ago her blood pressure spiked to 178/100 and was diagnosed with severe pre eclampsia and we were sent straight to labor and deliver. She is 35 weeks and 5 days and we just pray for the lord to bless us with a healthy baby and as little pain for my wife over the next few hours. They have started the induction and now we are just waiting. This is our first child and it’s going to be a baby boy. We’ve been so excited for this, but the past 5 days have put us in a tailspin. We know that God is in control!
