It's hard to turn down a float invite, especially when chunky Alabama bass are feeding heavy on shad. Plan was to throw heavy clousers and see what happens.

Hard to pass up a section with flow and a little depth. Pulled out one of my best Tallapoosa bass.

Didn't photograph them all, as the catching was too good. We caught maybe 9 or 10 like this:

Got off the water just as the sun went to bed. Crazy how fast the temps drop on the water like that. It sure beat the heck out of staring at a computer screen.

Nice catch! What kind of boat were you guys using? The water you were on looks a lot like the Saluda here in SC. Been thinking about getting something so I can target the striper run and trout on the regular.
