Real foggy in Clarke county - mine did not want to go so I did not make him - heard one yelping when I checked my traps this morning - was close

Had a long beard and two jakes walk right to the end of the gun barrel at about 15 yards. Swing and a miss. Twice....

😭

Great hunt, and although I’m not a big turkey guy, the sight of those three birds coming from the West with a rising sun in the east illuminating them...I’ll never forget it.

Thanks to Southwood for being our wingman this morning.

Congrats to the killers and congrats Austin on the best trophy of all!

We took a friend's son for his first ever turkey hunt this morning. He had him flopping by 6:10. Great gobbling all around and a good show to boot.

We heard one on roost , he had a pile of hens around him . They went the other way. 3 different shotgun blast popped off in my creekbottom. Somebody slipping in from the backside. It better have been a kid, Damn season ain’t even here yet and property already getting shot up from poachers.

No luck on a kill but I got a Jen(bearded hen) worked up and the young man I took really enjoyed that. So did I.

Back at it this pm. Just had one at 40 thru a little thick stuff. He wouldn’t stick his head up plus there were a bunch of hens around him.

Good job to the kids and adults that got out today. Hope it was a good experience for all the youngsters even if they were not able tote one out today.
