My 2 cents. I bought a cheap TXT ($1500) spent about $1500 more on the upgrades needed. aftermarket controller, eight 6volt battery's upgraded cables and a forward reversing contactor from Scotty B and mine has been going strong for 5 years.

My place is not hilly but i don't think hills would slow it down one bit. It is 2 miles from our camp house to the farthest field and i can make that trip several times on one charge.

I have to be in some pretty serious mud to get mine stuck. Serious like i should have had better sense than to try it mud.

I think the tires have more to do with getting stuck than anything. I run the Sierra Classics on my buggy and my FIL has the Mojave tires on his and he will get stuck twice as much as i ever have.
