I’m intrigued by this caliber. Any experience on here with it?
Probably eventually go with a suppressor ready Xbolt.

Awesome long range hunting round that hits hard way out there with very high BC bullets. But unless you put a brake on it it will be unpleasant to shoot.
With a brake its VERY unpleasant to the guy on the bench next to you...

I plan on putting a suppressor on it plus Browning has a new brake that’s supposed to be sweet for recoil.

I have one, not sure a suppressor (also have a few of those) will do much a lot of good though. But mines not threaded, amd i've never tried, so who knows 🤓

Not sure which Browning you're looking at but it probably has a 26" tube. Add a suppressor and that's a long mofo.

I think you would be better off with the 7 Mag.

Once you go past a 7RM you give up a lot to get a little.

Agreed. Unless you will be hunting where shots routinely exceed 500 yards, I don't see any advantage. Even then, a 7 RM or 300 WM will get the job done. A lot of recoil and muzzle blast for an extra 100-200 FPS. At long distance, accuracy is paramount, as is using bullets that will expand when hitting a deer at 800 yards. If you cannot shoot 1/2 MOA or better off the bench with it, you shouldn't be taking long range (> 500 yards) shots, and you must practice. Ballistics tables are not always correct. I have several friends with these big boomers and even developed handloads for a couple of them. I just don't have much desire to own one. But if it's what you want, go get one. ...and practice with it. 👍

When you start adding 80+ grains of powder to a case, you start to question whether all that speed is worth it. I was loading 116 gr of Hodgdon 50BMG powder under a 210 Berger in a friend's 30-378 Weatherby. I wouldn't think about touching off a round like that without a muzzle brake.

I’ve got one in a Cooper 52 Excalibur. With the brake on it’s nice to shoot but extremely loud. Without the brake the recoil is more than some folks like. I don’t find it too bad because when I shoot critters I don’t feel it.
Ammo is pricey but unless you plan to shoot 500 rounds per year it’s not that big of a concern.

I'm interested too. Been shopping around. I'll probably get one at some point. It's either that or a 300 prc. Or maybe both.
