I'd kill and tag it. It's what is right and what is legal.

I'd let him walk unless he has a good rack. I've killed deer that had lost a leg and survived. If I kill it, it has no chance of recovering. I'm sure the deer doesn't think you killing him is doing him a favor.

I've seen broke leg deer completely heal and regain use of the broken leg. Saw a buck with a badly broken shoulder recover on its own in a couple of months. I'd leave it.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

That’s my thinking

I would not shoot him I would say if he is still walking he has at least a 50/50 chance especially in a he south where winters are not severe.

I would probably put it out of its misery, but that being said a missing leg is not necessarily a death sentence. I once filmed a giant 7x7 Bull Elk in Colorado that was missing his left hind leg just below the ham. My buddy and I were Muzzle loader hunting a limited draw unit for Mule Deer. He was bugling his head off as he worked his way up out of some aspens and waded out into a waterhole we were watching. It was totally healed up and didn't seem to bother him a bit. Damn I wish I had an elk tag that year he was huge.

I could have walked up and slit this deers throat. He was in rough rough shape. Good points though, deer are rough as nails.
