Mom tested positive today. She has a bad cough but no other symptoms. Any tips on what she needs to do? Dr. gave her nothing but cough syrup.

If she is high risk, it’s advisable to request antibody treatments ASAP. They are effective in preventing serious illness when given early via IV.

My aunt has emphysema and was told to take vitamin c, vitamin d and zinc.

High doses of Vit D3, not D2. 60 mg zinc daily.

I took Ivomec. I can't say that it helped, can't say that it didn't.

I'd definitely find another doctor. My wife is 6 years older than I am, and solely due to her age she was offered convalescent plasma treatment, solely because of age and having high blood pressure. She didn't take it.

I would add N-acetyl cysteine, it's an antioxidant that protects the lungs from damage.

VD3, Zinc, and VC do a lot!!

60 mg zinc, 2000 mg vit C, vit D3, z-pac, and Budesonide with a nebulizer

Same treatment for Tylenol overdose. I’ve read where they have been using it. But no first hand experience with it.

The base is treating the easy cases a few ways over the counter:

PepcidAC three times per day instead of two. The Famotidine helps with the inflammatory response causing the cough

Melatonin 40-80mg per day divided into 4 doses, does the same as above and they can be used together.

Lots of D3, A, Zinc, 3litres diet tonic water per day, and quercetin

This. Vitamins C, D and the Zinc just like Dr. Brock says. Rest and make sure she eats even if she has no appetite. Have plenty of TP available if it hits her that way.

This along with a medrol dose pack and a zpack. The steroid is probably the most important me of them all. Get her on this regimen ASAP.

not much to do. i had it and took zinc and aleve but it has to run its course and that varies

The zinc is almost useless without quinine and/or quercetin as even a very low dosage allows zinc into the cell to reduce viral replication

A baby aspirin is all you really need to reduce clotting risk
