Acorn OP 8 point A Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 1,347 Foley, AL	I’ve got a 25 yr old Ruger 10/22 carbine that I was going to give to my son that we could upgrade and I’d give it to him. Not looking to go crazy, just make a good shooting gun that he will keep and shoot Was thinking BX trigger (can’t find in stock) Target barrel (any recommendations?) New stock (any recommendations? I like the Boyd’s laminate, but was thinking about saving money and going with Hogue.

It's in a Boyd's pro varmint (the one they used to call the "Tacti-cool") stock There are two types of gun enthusiasts ... Those who have been F#CKED by PTG and those who will be! ~ unknown

Gary08 6 point Joined: Feb 2016 Posts: 854 South	I went with a hogue over mold stock, ruger bx trigger (2.5 lb), er Shaw 18” factory contour barrel with no sights, BS Amazon monstrum scope and one piece mount on mine. It cleaned 17 years of the hell I put it through. Don’t have a pic handy but I’ll post one when I can. It was either retire it or refresh it and I chose to keep my old girl alive.

Reloader79 Bitch Peas, I'm a Kitty Whisperer R Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 5,305 Behind your shadow	Here’s my latest lil project it has a 16.5” volquartsen ultra light barrel, bushnell elite 4200 3-9x40, bx trigger group and I kept the original stock amd just channeled it out. Same with the Tactical Solutions barrel. The fluted version looks great and shoots even better I'm a Boyd's fan. I have several of them.
