Been kicking around the idea of getting a new shooting house. Havent decided if I wanna build my own or go with a premade one.Was just trying to get some opinions on some. (Muddy, Redneck, Sportsman Condo, Banks, Atascosa, or anything else you guys have used.) Wanting about a 4x6 or 5x5. Someting in that size range.

I saw one of the Muddys outside Simmons and was quite impressed, it was definitely mighty fine.

I have several sportsman’s condos. They’re almost indestructible. I’ve built a few using deerview windows and doors. My kids prefer mine due to them being free of wasps and other critters.

MB Ranch King blinds are nicer, sturdier, etc than muddy and redneck blinds. They are air tight with windows closed and have I think an 8yr warranty. But they also cost more.

Wish it was hunting season.....year round

I hunted out of one just last week. Extremely nice and very sturdy. They claim to be insect proof but there were plenty of lady bugs in mine.

I've hunted out of Redneck blinds several times in Illinois and man are they nice. They have the elongated windows on the corners for bow shots and are nice and roomy.

Sportsman’s Condos are a breeze to set up with a tractor and front end loader.

I built alot of these over the years but lumber is high now. I also don't have as much time to build them either. I really like the redneck blinds and all the others. Bad thing about plastic houses is they break. I went on one place where a guy lost 2. One from a tree and the other just blew over. That was a shame.

Wood houses like that are unbelievably heavy. I can man handle a 2 man sportsman condo by myself.

Sportsman's Condo are just too easy to deal with. They are certainly not the best by any stretch but for the price and ease of handling that is something to consider.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

They are very well made. I can’t honestly say they are better than any other brands because I’ve never hunted out of any other brands except sportsman’s condo. And it is 10x better than a sportsman’s condo.

Years ago I hunted on a property that had shooting houses called Buckingham Palace. They were made out of 2" refrigerator insulated panels. Very high quality but you would cook in those things on a warm sunny day.

Don't know if they are still around, this was about 15 years ago and they were over 3K back then.

Not sure how that cracker box can be 10x a sportsman condo. A 4x4 sportsman condo can be had for $700 if you go to Westpoint. Also, a Sportsman condo is one piece roto molded plastic. If won't break.. Wind blows it over pick it back up. Any other house I have seen (Sad Daddy included) if the wind blows it over from an 8 foot stand its toast. My only real complaint about the SC is its hot. Ive got ridgelines, SC2s and SC4s. Ill never buy another brand. My grandchildren will be hunting out of them.

I was just referring to comfort really. We have 2 sad daddy’s and 1 sportsman’s condo and would much rather sit in a sad daddy. The sportsman’s Condo is still a nice bind just not nearly as comfy.
