We leave for White County Illinois in the morning at 3:45. Should arrive in town around noon, grab a bite of lunch, unload at the lodge and head to a tree. This will be my first hunt in Illinois and I can't wait. I just hope I get some good video and pics, and a chance at a trophy. I heard they are haven't kicked into full rut yet but hopefully they will while we are up there next week.

Good luck.
I just got back from a 2 week hunt in Pope County. Like said above, they are a couple of week away from rutting. Fresh scrapes on hookings just started showing up last week. Next year I will go the second or third week of November.

Thats awesome. I am leaving weds. morning to go to Olney, Ill. Got a phone call from the lease partner of the farm and he killed 160 inch 11 point. He said they have just started to chase so hopefully I will be up there at the peak time. Good luck.

I am at skillet fork outfitters in carmi. Weather is tuff. 70's high. Low in 50s. Seeing some big deer but out in middle of soybeans. Had a couple nice 10 points right under me but not 130. At home they would have been toast. Hoping for some colder weather on Wednesday
