I have a Buckmark Field-Target Micro that I like with a red dot on top. If you have XXL hands avoid the SR22. It bites the web of your hand. Didn't care for the underside take down lever either, it can fall and you won't know it. Ask me how I know. Love Rugers in general but not a great design in this case.

I went to buy a Ruger and walked out with a Buckmark. It fit in my hand so much better than the Ruger.

Ruger mk III or a 1939 High Standard Model H. It will outshoot any 22 pistol I have shot or owned.

It's not how much money you make, but how much you can keep.

I figured I'd chime in here since I just bought a new Walther P22Q last week and went to shoot it last Friday. I also have a S&W 2214. These are small handguns with a barrel length of less than 5 inches which many say require the high velocity ammo to force the blow back gases to eject the shell. The Walther was not ejecting the shells like it should. I was using Winchester and Remington high velocity ammo around 1250 fps. I got home and did some reviews on the gun and it seems that is a common problem if you are not using high velocity ammo. Now I'm being told to clean the gun real gun with some break free. I didn't think I needed to clean a new gun but I will give it a try. So my advice is for you to figure out what gun you like then maybe google it and research it to see if anyone is having any issues with it.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks. I am going to look for a Buckmark or Ruger.

I like my ruger 22/45 lite. You can use 1911 style grip panels on it and lots of aftermarket parts for them.

I love my ruger mk4 hunter. Went Tru glo tru tec red dot with a Burris mount that uses the rear dovetail from the iron sight to attach and deleted the iron sights on the barrel. It’s a shooter. [Linked Image]
