I was feeling good as of this morning. Regular.
About 2 hours ago I started having post nasal drip down my throat. Feel fine otherwise.
Went to eat lunch at my favorite cheeseburger place....and my sense of taste is diminished...even my dip doesn't taste as normal.
My taste is't gone, just reduced. So I've raided the cabinet here at the office and confirmed it with other foods.

So...taste loss with Covid is a symptom. But what kind of taste loss? Heavy or light?

As I was typing this, I did a smell test. It seems reduced too. I can smell, but things don't smell strongly...could just be my imagination because my taste seems off.

Loss of taste here and seems to be a frequent symptom in others.

I know a lot. Two and a half months ago I came down with the China flu , fever for 2 days bodyaches and headaches for few days . On 4th or 5th day my smell and taste were gone. I mean 0%. I felt better on day 6 and 7. My work required a negative test before returning. I tested positive for 3 weeks . Finally got a negative at start of week 4. My taste came back before smell. I began to wonder if I’d ever smell again. My taste has came back and smell is probably 75% now after 2 1/2 months.

I just got off of the phone with a buddy who has tested positive, he HATES onions, he said yesterday he just wanted to test his taste and smell, so he ate one like an apple, he said it crunched in his mouth like an apple but couldnt taste it at all.

My taste didn't go away completely. Some things had an awful after taste. Best I can describe it would be some really stinky cheese. Mostly when I drank green powerades or are blue popcicles. Weird I know

When I had it I got up feeling pretty rough and went to the fridge and poured some orange juice and couldn’t taste it at all. Brushed my teeth and nothing. Put a dip in and nothing. Went to the dr and got tested and had it.

I ain't taking no damn test.......

I was just wondering how many positive tests you had. Does each of these positive tests show up in the statistics for confirmed cases?

Run your finger across your hiney and if you cant smell that may wanna go see the doc..... before its too late...

Soak it in cider and see if you can smell it then.

Had it a little over 3 weeks ago. Started with a slight fever and then lost smell and taste. Never really got sick but still haven't gotten those 2 senses back, fully.

I had no taste or smell at all, complete loss for 4.5 days. Then it gradually came back, still not 100% on the smell or taste, going on 7 weeks now.

I lost all taste and smell for a couple days. But I lost mine around day 3 or 4 after testing positive. Coffee was just hot water and dill pickle chips were just crunchy air. Both came back about a week later.

My oldest son and his girlfriend had it several months ago. His sense of taste and smell are pretty much back to normal. Her sense of taste is sadly totally F'ed up. Most stuff tastes like spoiled meat to her. A few things make it better or at least somewhat better, balsamic dressing and queso cheese dip. She has had very little progression towards a normal sense of taste. I like food and If I were in her situation I would look like Lt. Dan on Forrest Gump cursing God.
