Hey y'all, I'm looking to get into 6.5 Grendel and was hoping to pick up a used but not abused upper for a decent price. I'd also be interested in a barrel and bolt combo to build on as well. Text me at 205-461-8283, let me know what you've got, thanks!

Check here, https://www.65grendel.com/forum/. BCA quality has been hit or miss with the 6.5 Gren. One of the forum group buy barrels may work for you. There may be uppers in their classified section as well.

If you are wanting it to hunt with, good luck finding ammo if you don’t already have some.

This^^^^^^^. I even had trouble finding brass at a reasonable price.

"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Thanks for the reply’s. I have a few other rifles to hunt with but I did want try out the Grendel as well. Sucks to hear that the ammo isn’t available. I was hoping to find some or at least some components to reload since it’s not a mainstream caliber.

There is next to no Grendel ammo to be found. You can get the 100gr FMJs if you are quick on the button and grab em while they have em. If I did own one I would be glad I bought LOTS of ammo for it when it was available. There is a few companies that sell ammo that they load and usually have some available or will load as you order it. They are proud of there ammo but that is an option. Good luck.

It's an enjoyable round, don't give up on it. I've been in them for about four years or so. I've killed two deer with Grendels, a Sitka Blacktail in Thomas Bay AK and a whitetail here, and shot steel out to 760 with them. Fairly versatile and lots of fun.
