I am wanting to fertilize some acorn trees and was wondering which fertilizer is the best to use? Also when I do this will it make the acorns sweeter and attract more deer herds to my property. Has anyone ever fertilized any big acorn trees and how did they do it and was it a success

Dr Craig Harper said it doesn’t make a lick of difference In quantity or quality of acorn production. His study found that thinning the woods and creating more crown space increased production, but “taste” never changed.

You can get 3 bags of corn for what 1 bag fertilizer cost.

I fertilized 4 or 5 clusters of white oaks about 20 years ago. I never could tell that it made a difference.
