I've never had a bad experience with any broadhead, fixed or mechanical. I've been totally pleased with all of them I've used (over 30 years), but I will say I hated the G5 Montecs because I could never get them sharp, and dang sure couldn't resharpen them. However, they graveyarded every deer I ever shot with them.
Over all those years I've shot 3-blade Muzzys more than anything else, and have been shooting the new Trocar models since they've been out. They are super lethal, fly completely true, readily available local to me, and are affordable enough I can replace (fully, or just new blades) when I want to. I tried to ReSharpen some G5s on a flat diamond stone. I finally realized that they have a slight angle, not flat. It takes more time and labor but if you run each edge individually you can get them razor sharp.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
