That article was written in 2015, I bet the numbers are even more skewed now. Here is my answer, if you don't want to go to college on scholarship, you don't have to sign on the dotted line, period. It was YOUR choice to sign and go play football, basketball, etc. They are NOT oppressed, if anything, they are treated like royalty, especially if they are a star player. Also, many of them, turn that college scholarship in to millions of dollars on the pro level, how is that oppression? It is amazing to me how some people, in today's world, can say that any human, in the USA, is oppressed.
