Y’all hang on a minute. The dudes with wildlife biology degrees will be here in a minute to set y’all straight. There ain’t a more thin-skinned, defensive bunch in the south. Y’all should read the posts on Facebook if you haven’t.

I don't have a problem with them enforcing the law by requiring a deer processor to verify Game Check. That shouldn't be an issue if everyone is following the rules.
It is just not a big deal... that is... unless you are trying to break the rules.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

There never will be physical check stations. Those days are over thanks to phones and technology.
Tags are an easy fix: make your own, add the required data, affix it to the deer.

The problem is that NOW you have to have the Game Check number BEFORE the processor can take the deer and you can not call the 1-800 number to receive the number. You figure that everyone has or can use the phone app? Maybe the processor should have a computer or phone setup for you to use.

Perfect example of the government cooking the frog slowly. Starts out with a volunteer program to record your deer, to now you can’t get a deer processed unless you’ve recorded it. If you don’t understand this principle hen your a flaming liberal or an idiot. Most likely both. Maybe you can explain it for us idiots. How it is a burden on the processor for someone dropping off a deer to write down a number in a block between there name and phone number. I asked this question already and instead of answering it people just resort to name calling like a democrat. Same answer as above - The problem is that NOW you have to have the Game Check number BEFORE the processor can take the deer and you can not call the 1-800 number any more to receive the number. You figure that everyone has or can use the phone app? Maybe the processor should have a computer or phone setup for you to use.

Its Getting to where a man cant feed his Family anymore.... I dont know your situation and I'm not in favor of regulations, but deer meat hasn't been the cheapest way to feed your family for a while.

I think you solved part of the equation. It's a way to enforce more and exclusive use of the phone app and get away from the paper "harvest record" along with ending the 800-number. No 800 number to call. Can't write down the info on paper and report later after dropping off the deer at the processor, because you don't have your number. So you MUST use the phone app to be in compliance. Guess I won't be selling my Cabela's grinder after all.

They should just change the law to say you have to check in the deer before you move the dead deer. It's really that simple and how it works in many other states.
Either by phone or via the app. They need a phone number. Not everyone's App works 100% it's a POS. I will agree on that. If you don't have a phone I'm not sure what you do I guess you'll have to take your chances or get a burner phone to call Game Check. If you can't afford a phone should you really be outside deer hunting or should you be looking for a job?
Lot of angles to this delima. It's a free country. You don't have to deer hunt if this is too big a burden you are free to do something else instead of practicing being an outlaw.
