I know some in north bama aint gonna process deer brecause they’re booked up with beef. LuAllens in moulton isnt, they’re booked into 2022. Weavers isn’t sure yet. I have a feeling that may be the underlying issue and the new regulation was the scape goat.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Deer hunting used to be fun.
Yep, and the DCNR will be scratching their heads wondering why license sales are down. I’ll be honest. I just don’t care much for deer hunting anymore. It just isn’t fun to me now. That, and the price to hunt these day (lease/club) is outrageous. I don't see any reason to buy a license anymore. My processor is shutting down. I'll be leaving dead deer for Coyote bait. No need to waste money on a license.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Game Check is a failure. This is the next step to forcing compliance.
Next will be taxidermists, right?

I asked the local game warden this last week to see if this was something I would have to do also and he wasn't sure yet. Not really a big deal for me as I don't deal with the same volume as a processor does.

Not next, now. You have to furnish the transfer doc to the taxidermist as well. Whomever is in possession of the deer must have documentation.

Thanks, Eclipse.
I'd missed that taxidermists are state agents now, too.

Between saltwater fishing and deer hunting I’m about regulated out. But, but ... we're being progressive. Don't you feel great about being progressive and helping the good of society by doing your fair share?

The goal should to ge more hunters and manage the population for hunting. The typical hunters and processors aren't typically big government fans. I won't be buying any kind of license again and will be processing all my on game

Told y'all.
Being forced to become an agent of the state is not right.
The wheels are turning. Expect more regulations, restrictions and fees in the future.
Deer hunting used to be fun.
It all started with the buck limit, things like this were the reason I was so strongly against it. I never wanted to kill more than 3 bucks in a season; I just didn't want all the state control that was sure to follow it. I helped a first time dove hunter buy a license Saturday. It was so difficult and confusing that she almost gave up and said to forget it. If I hadn't been there to explain some things I'm sure she would have given up. And what have all these rules and regulations done for us? We had better hunting without any of it, but it wasn't "fair." Yup and aldeer was all aglow after the new limits were implemented. Amazing how the same folks that supported the aldcnr implementing unneeded limits are now hollerin that they are going to far.
