Game violation fines in AL are so low why bother with a license or game check BS? I know a guy who got a baited field ticket last weekend. $100. Piss I’ll load wheat up all over next season. I’m sure hunting without a license or whatever is cheap fines.

Told y'all.
Being forced to become an agent of the state is not right.
The wheels are turning. Expect more regulations, restrictions and fees in the future.
Deer hunting used to be fun.
It all started with the buck limit, things like this were the reason I was so strongly against it. I never wanted to kill more than 3 bucks in a season; I just didn't want all the state control that was sure to follow it. I helped a first time dove hunter buy a license Saturday. It was so difficult and confusing that she almost gave up and said to forget it. If I hadn't been there to explain some things I'm sure she would have given up. And what have all these rules and regulations done for us? We had better hunting without any of it, but it wasn't "fair." Mr. Steve, this was my first thought. Why would a youngster want to put up with all of this? They make it less fun every year.

I’m sure hunting without a license or whatever is cheap fines. If poaching or game violations is the problem, isn't the better answer to punish the guilty? I hunted Wisconsin in the early '90's. Even then, violations that were $100 fines were $3000 to $4000 there.

It's a shame that they are conceding that they're are so many folks out there that simply will not follow the regulations and try to play dumb or bash them on Facebook etc, for not just taking in the deets without documentation. that they are throwing in the towel.
I know, I know , if the guberment and chucky would stay out of it, this wouldn't be happening. But, the regs are there now so, it's the public that will dictate how many more call it quits. You know, support your local small business unless I have to spend 45 Seconds filling out a form.

Nothing about what I said is false. This thread is proof. If I was a processor, I'd quit taking deer too. I guess you could blame it in the rule but, like I said, the public and their need to do schitt the way they want to do it would be the real reason. It simply would not be worth the hassle of arguing with a guy for 15 minutes about why I can't take his deer until he registers it. It's got nothing to do with playing game police. It would be easy to keep the document with the work order for the processing.

Chuckles has been watching too much of that North Woods Law. He wants that to be the model for Alabama.

Anyone ever thought that if at some point instead of just minding our own business that if we actually policed our own (people who kill deer) this wouldn’t be happening? The only reason we get regulation after regulation is because people can’t stop being outlaws. Hell in this state it’s never gotten better only worse and if you talk to anyone about it they usually side with the outlaws. In my opinion we all did this to ourselves. I think the problem is when a man believes he somehow owns the wild animals running around in the woods. The deer were here before the state of alabama and nobody owned them.

So, because people can’t follow the law we need to enact more laws, plus make the processors agents of the state to enforce the laws? Yeah, that’s a hard no from me. The state just put a lot of processors out of business. Alabama should just make physical tags. It’s done here in S.C. and it aint that damn hard to deal with. I’ll be damned if I’ll pay 300+ to hunt my own land back home and have to call around to find a processor that is still open. Plus buy a baiting “permit”? I’ll just not hunt until this all sorts out. Ceehawk the ones that stay open will be so packed, im betting the chances of getting a deer dropped off will be 50/50. Alot of processors were already having a hard time keeping up. Its fixin to turn into a sure enough cluster. Theys fixin to be a bunch of deer go to waste.
