They made the announcement on Facebook they will not take deer this year due to the new regulations. I hate having to find a new processor.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

It's a shame that they are conceding that they're are so many folks out there that simply will not follow the regulations and try to play dumb or bash them on Facebook etc, for not just taking in the deets without documentation. that they are throwing in the towel.
I know, I know , if the guberment and chucky would stay out of it, this wouldn't be happening. But, the regs are there now so, it's the public that will dictate how many more call it quits. You know, support your local small business unless I have to spend 45 Seconds filling out a form.

What is the new regulation causing issues for processors? The incompetent cocksuckers at DCNR pushing a new rule which require the processor to verify your game check confirmation. It's clearly an unfunded state mandate. I can't blame the processors for rejecting the bullschit rule.

How are they to determine if the GameCheck number a hunter gives is valid? The devil is in the details. Will the processor then be legally liable for that illegal deer?

If you still have 48 hours to game check a deer how could a processor get all that information? I haven’t even looked at the new regulations yet but I suspect it might not be a bad idea. It’s starting to become work to hunt legally.

I think this year, I'll kill every deer I see, and leave em laying for the buzzards and coyotes.

Some of the FB comments on the Reeds post:
I sure hope hunters will still be hunting. I have hit four deer in 13 month with my car. Someone needs to be hunting. They are over populated.
This should have been in place a long time ago. It will cut back on all the poaching that has been going on in Alabama to long. So to me it seams you may be supporting bad habits by not supporting local fish and game.
I would be willing to pay a separate fee for the paperwork or whatever you would need us to do and I'm sure other customers would be willing to do that also so you could keep processing.
You might think about a $5 recording fee, more or less.
Hate to hear that. Y'all have become family over the years. But I don't blame y'all at all. You are a processor not a state checking station.
I understand and agree with your stance
Hate to hear that,,new law just seems a way to write new tickets,if we forget to write one thing down,,not worth hunting no more

Yep, and the DCNR will be scratching their heads wondering why license sales are down. I’ll be honest. I just don’t care much for deer hunting anymore. It just isn’t fun to me now. That, and the price to hunt these day (lease/club) is outrageous.

It all started with the buck limit, things like this were the reason I was so strongly against it. I never wanted to kill more than 3 bucks in a season; I just didn't want all the state control that was sure to follow it. I helped a first time dove hunter buy a license Saturday. It was so difficult and confusing that she almost gave up and said to forget it. If I hadn't been there to explain some things I'm sure she would have given up. And what have all these rules and regulations done for us? We had better hunting without any of it, but it wasn't "fair."

It’s starting to become work to hunt legally. Deer and turkey hunters must record their harvest immediately using a harvest record (paper or app) and report their harvest within 48 hours through Game Check.
