I never liked the "lines" on the older model skeeters. I had a 1987 Starfire 175 with a Black Max 150" back in the day"; it would go. Nothing like the sound of that screaming 2 stroke slinging a big rooster tail from the chopper prop. I was in one w/ a built 2.5 running close to 80 on spedo when it started acting stupid. Blew out, put me under the dash and driver bent the steering wheel. We were lucky. Mine ran about 70; was always stable. That was fast enough for me
