Funny thing about the boar from yesterday, they often do a false charge and stop just shy of the gate. I had the LED lights on my trapping rig shining into the trap. He charged the gate but stopped just shy of the gate and stood there sniffing like a dog. So I stuck the barrel of my 10/22 through the wire and shot him point blank between the eyes.
