Not sure if this pertains to what your looking for but a lot of companies have started doing credit score check's.if you can manage your own money you can be trusted to help manage theirs.we quit paying for drug screening in idea if you can pass a few test you probably don't do drugs You can usually tell alot about someone on how well they manage their finances.

how is it illegal for a cop to tell ypu but you can pay a website? Is it because of the money, i dont understand why a cop couldnt look at someones record and tell you before you hire them if that would be a good idea or not, Because there is a law saying police can’t do it. Is that not good enough for you? Law enforcement databases cannot he used for any non law enforcement purpose. There is a huge difference in the law enforcement databases and the public court records.

Most LE officials that stupidly get arrested for this are trying to help a friend or someone they thought was a friend, gather dirt on a political rival running against the so called friend. I had to tell more than one person "No, I can't do that" in my career and then explained why. If they understood, they remained my friend. If they were pissy then I learned all along that they never were my friend to start with. Please don't ever ask your friends in LE to do this.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I will add that I use the Casteel agency (private investigator) to find info on people. Absolutely amazed at what they can dig up for just a few hundred dollars

Plenty good enough i guess if its a law i was just asking a question, i didnt understand why he was asking about it in the first place if it was in order to hire someone or if it was about someone he was doing bussiness with or a relative was dating a person, and i didnt know anything would be wrong if you asked a cop that a person you was about to have some contact with but you didnt really know was a safe individual, the cop could say yes or no and not give paticulars on the person, i figuered it was sorta like taking a check from someone and calling his or hers bank and asking if it was ok to take a check in that amount ,but i see the point jawbone gave,

If you have a cop friend who will do you such favors, this might not be the place to be talking about it. They won't be doing it much and keep their job.

If you are a politician, in the good ole boy network, liberal, or mexican mafia, they will run them all day long for you.

Not to derail but say a detective nonlaw enforcement agency checked on you for either a prosecutor or your ex wife/girlfriend and you discovered what was going on? Total hypothetical question and I won't post what I think should be done but if I was on a jury afterwards you'd get a pass from me.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.
