I'm amazed that a charge can hit my card almost immediately but it takes days to be processed on a refund. Seems the creek only flows one way on that system and if you aren't going downstream the paddling back sure is slower. I recently ran into this when I placed an order with Home Depot on some tile flooring. It hit my card immediately. The next day I get an email from them that they didn't have enough in stock to fill my order so they cancelled it and a credit on my card would show up within a week, which it did but it made me wonder how much interest they can make by waiting several days to refund money when they do this nationwide? Not much; at current rates Bet it is a sizable amount because they’re not dealing with buckles and dimes. Why do you think banks went to the hundredths then the thousandths of a percent?
