I think there's a county lake in Fayette County too. I've never been there though. If you find one a decent place nearby, let me know. I'm in Northport and always looking for a place to take the kids too.

Anyone know of any good ponds or lakes near Tuscaloosa? Don't have a boat but I'm trying to find a good place to take my kids where they can have some fun catching fish. I've tried all the local big lakes and the bank fishing stinks at those. Open to pay-to-fish ponds. Can't find anything on the internet really. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'd suggest you pay the daily rate & go to the fishing ponds that are close to the airport ... probably going to be your best "kid friendly" bet, without an investment in a boat
