I’m disappointed in myself that I didn’t think of this earlier. My new prediction: she correctly understands that most deep state entities want her dead so Clintons, etc are not drug into this further. She then calculates that her best move is to implicate the ultimate big fish to placate the deep staters: Trump. Prior to the election (October surprise) she throws out a bunch of tales of stuff allegedly occurring in the 80’s and 90’s becomes media/Democrat/deep state darling. Screws up Trump election, then case drifts off into nothing.
