Hunting with the right wind is free. That works fine, most anywhere west of the Mississippi River. Don't work here in the southeast. It's much more important to learn how terrain and thermals affect scent. The wind changes direction constantly. That's why I actually prefer to hunt days with higher, sustained winds. One of my favorite ways to deer hunt is in a pine thicket from the ground, on a cold blustery day. I've seen tons of deer on days like that.

A friend of mine is a dog handler for the ATF in Missouri. They have tried everything you can imagine under the sun to try and mask scents to confuse the dogs to include the Ozone gimmick.
They have yet to find anything that can trick those dogs.
That tells me that a deer can smell it too under the right circumstances.
If you want one buy one but I wouldn't bet the bank a deer won't smell you if they are downwind.
