Mattis is right. Our Active Duty Military should never be engaging its own citizens. I could write a book on why this is a bad idea. Trump is handling this situation terribly, he is not leading, he is dividing. Curious as to why Mattis released the statement he did though, and the timing of it. It's strange for sure.
What should Trump be doing differently? Praising and going out and kneeling and chanting with the protesters? Spray painting BLM graffiti on the white house? Molotov cocktail the capitol building? Or pull a Drew Brees and apologize for nothing?
