Fatty, you seem to be the most "panicky" of anyone here. Damn, calm down. We are all Americans and actualy do care for each other. Your overblown emotions need to be throttled down a little. I don't know you, but you're obviously reading impaired. I care for people, but i'm not a damned panic drivin idiot like some on here. I align much closer to Wiley and Outback than some of you panty wearing sissies.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I read zero hedge almost daily, our economy's underpinnings were in distress already. The FED has been pumping liquidity into the Big Banks for year or so. 100 Billion a month on average, there was even a few days where they pumped that much in a day. The crazy way this all played out has really caused some long term damage. I have an old friend, he went from being in line to run the place to being unemployed, the business literally closed up shop. Another childhood friend that had a development in OB go bust in 09, he has another project in it's early beginning right now. He's still selling lots and building but who knows? Another friend who's business profits is in the Spring season, now all that is gone. I can go on and on.
I also know a few folks that died of Covid. I have friends that have friends that have died or been in an ICU for over a month. Some folks I know have it and has been underwhelming at best. Have a niece that is positive yet they won't test her husband, unless he runs a fever. Both are quarantined and should be released tomorrow I think. She has been a little tired and ran a fever for a day, other than that nothing.
I don't know if it's different strains, genetics, underlying conditions. It is more deadly than the Flu. How much and so forth is yet to be seen. Large metropolitan areas appear to be hit harder yet others haven't been.
It definitely doesn't help that the MSM hates Trump and sees this as an opportunity to defeat him.
I feel for those that have lost their livelihoods and those that have lost their lives.
Just wait, the Lawsuits are being filed, that is gonna do a number on businesses too. Many may find it's best to lock the doors to avoid legal action.

"“I didn’t expect the recovery to be this fast,” said Iceland’s chief epidemiologist, Thorolfur Gudnason. Iceland’s success reflects decisive action by authorities, who used a rigorous policy of testing and tracking to find and isolate infected people, even when they had no symptoms. That has helped Iceland weather the pandemic without resorting to the social and economic shutdowns enforced in many other European countries. Infected people and their contacts were quarantined, but the rest of the population was not forced to stay inside, only to be careful." https://apnews.com/b13115dba10ad0aa4f9e1f22a3403c3b

Total coronavirus deaths = 239,740 Flu deaths bad year same time frame = 277, 836
This is not about safety. It's about corporate backed state powers attempting to destroy small businesses, a test run on how much control the people will tolerate without bucking and picking targets for when the real run happens.

I could be robbing banks that carry large amounts of cash/liquid assets. I could be screwing the populace as a scumbag attorney. I could be doing any number of things that have minimal affects on the public and maximum effects on my amount of cash on hand. Only the very best could stop me if I set my mind to do a thing.
Instead - here I am trying to lend the third best research mind I know to the world to use to help themselves and others. I don't ask for or get much return for that.
I don't say I told you so very often.

"To put things in even more perspective, while Sweden has already suffered 2,586 COVID deaths in 2020, back in 2018 there were approximately 6,997 total flu/pneumonia deaths in Sweden – and the country’s healthcare capacity was not overrun, nor were any of their public systems stretched to the breaking point." "You wouldn’t know it by listening to western politicians or mainstream media, there are also non-lockdown countries. They are led by Sweden, Iceland, Belarus, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Surprisingly to some, their results have been as good or better than the lockdown countries, but without having to endure the socio-economic chaos we are now witnessing across the rest of the world. For this reason alone, Sweden and others like them have already won the policy debate, as well as the scientific one too." http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archive...sTo7jl9rsOpiVE22NcFGmekFNURcXUgwHeu1dEbg

And if quarantine doesn't help how come a country like India one of the most pupulated countries in the world has less covid deaths than Sweden?

Covid deaths to date = 153,252 Flu deaths bad year same time frame = 247,559
Currently 1.6 times less likely to kill you than the flu. Total coronavirus deaths = 239,740 Flu deaths bad year same time frame = 277, 836

Yep the worse year in a decade. Stop picking and choosing your numbers. Go to Walmarts and lick the shopping cart handles if its nothing. Go get your herd immunity. Tell me how it goes... That's about a dumbass comment as any....Ain't nobody going around licking shopping cart handles, but i am still going to walmart and any other store and I am not using gloves or a mask.
