Buncha idiots here. 20,000 cases in La alone. Would they all have to die for you morons to understand without these precautions your family could be in the same boat? Wake up, how else can these diseases be dealt with? SMDH You are correct. LA is full of idiots. They chose to go ahead with Mardi Gras and were warned ahead of time about the virus and how contagious it was. That’s your perfect example of morons. So you tell us idiots on here why LA has so many cases. Put New Orleans in a big list with the rest of LA. Then ask someone to pick which of these things is not like the others?

Over reaction, if I call the Dr with symptoms I had in January they gonna tell me to stay home and count me as a new case. When I say I had it in January and that it's been here for a while I'm a damn fool liar. Can't have it both ways. If you have preexisting stay home and protect yourself. If you are healthy then carry on.

What i find odd about the whole situation is, the folks who said it wasn't a big deal in the beginning without any real evidence. They were pretty adamant. My approach has evolved as the facts, stats and situation has evolved. You point to LA and say "well thats what they get for having mardi gras" but thats the same lackadaisical approach yall had, so its kinda hypocritical. Then you say "we shouldn't have done this or that and people should of just self quarantined" but that ain't how it would of worked, Folks didn't do that with government interference, it would have been way worse without. I'm not saying what should or shouldn't have been done. Hindsight is 20/20. But there was definitely a path to destruction and economic failure if the government would't have intervened at all as well. Except in that scenario there would of been complete societal breakdown, panic and chaos.
For without victory, there is no survival

It IS overblown, Larry. What fuckkin rock have you been living under? The numbers don’t work for what was predicted no matter which numbers you use. How about everybody that believed that schit apologize to the rest of for agreeing to send our economy to Hell?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Speaking of New York, they just added 3,700 people to the death toll the other day, not even knowing if they even had the virus or not, they just based it off assumptions
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

I never said it was fake but did say it was blown out of proportion...... and I’m still here and still say the same thing. X2. 11,000 dead in NY alone. How many people die in NY everyday, how many would have died anyway. People die, it sucks but it happens

Speaking of New York, they just added 3,700 people to the death toll the other day, not even knowing if they even had the virus or not, they just based it off assumptions Dead people due to kung flu probably mean more federal dollars. My wife’s in the med field and as an office manager she handles billing. Covid diagnosis, automatic $13k payment under Medicare coding to cover cost regardless of age or Medicare qualification. If they put them on a vent, even for just an hour, Medicare pays $39k. Medicare is also expediting payments during the Covid crisis. Now here’s the kicker....if it is not Covid related, it is up to the hospital to try collect from the patient or patients insurance company. As an example, in Louisiana, 70% of the diagnosed cases and deaths are minorities, a large portion of which are uninsured and certainly cannot afford the huge Obamacare out of pocket deductibles. I’d assume that is also the case in NY, Chicago, Detroit and these other big high density metropolitan areas. Note that It’s also really hard to collect on that bill from family member's of the dead patient. Those cases are all 100% write offs for the hospital 95% of the time. It’s a whole lot easier to claim Covid on the death and get your money with certainty and immediately from the feds through Medicare. And that’s the whole story. Follow the money.

It is currently half as deadly as flu in a bad year. I never said it was fake or made up - simply overblown.

Perch do you sit down to pee? You’re acting like a damn wuss man. Cut him a little slack Matt. It’s all about perspective. He’s just scared to death as he is severely immune-compromised due to his cancer. He’s higher than high risk as are some others on this site. Take a good look at who’s posting what. The sky is falling group are all much older, immune- compromised or have a significant other or relatives that are high risk, or are in the medical field having to come in contact with it. Like I said, people’s perspective on it is influenced by their individual situation. I can say this with certainty, if we don’t get the economy back going immediately, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Covid 19 is going to seem like a skin rash compared to the carnage that will follow if the US economy completely crashes.

The hospitals in my city are laying off all the workers because there isn’t anyone there for elective surgery and there isn’t anyone there for coronavirus. My finances cousin is a nurse and she said they were told they would be getting a pay cut because the hospital wasn't making enough money. She treats CV19 patients.

Exactly, very few of us without an “emotional” reason, have been supportive of crippling our economy over this.
