Dead people due to kung flu probably mean more federal dollars.

My wife’s in the med field and as an office manager she handles billing. Covid diagnosis, automatic $13k payment under Medicare coding to cover cost regardless of age or Medicare qualification. If they put them on a vent, even for just an hour, Medicare pays $39k. Medicare is also expediting payments during the Covid crisis. Now here’s the kicker....if it is not Covid related, it is up to the hospital to try collect from the patient or patients insurance company. As an example, in Louisiana, 70% of the diagnosed cases and deaths are minorities, a large portion of which are uninsured and certainly cannot afford the huge Obamacare out of pocket deductibles. I’d assume that is also the case in NY, Chicago, Detroit and these other big high density metropolitan areas. Note that It’s also really hard to collect on that bill from family member's of the dead patient. Those cases are all 100% write offs for the hospital 95% of the time. It’s a whole lot easier to claim Covid on the death and get your money with certainty and immediately from the feds through Medicare. And that’s the whole story. Follow the money.
