SMB44, yes, shot placement is key and I'm glad you're skilled. However, if you miss forward and hit bone, that 40-60 gr bullet will not be able to compete with a heavier weighted bullet, and that's what my point is. It's not a big deal nor a passionate subject for me. I'm sure you're skilled and pick your shots and stay away from bone. Nice shot! I should have said that it is kinda unfair to the deer in unskilled hands.
