You had that cool weather last week. Okra like warm soil and temps. With that rain y’all got and the warm temps. You should start seeing them in a few days. Okra is slow to germinate. That’s why it’s always the last thing I plant. It also like to be wet until it get up and growing good. My dad used to soak his okra seed in water over night to soften that hard shell on the seed. It speeds up germination. I just plant mine and wet it till it comes up.

Did you soak them ? I do until they start to germinate. The outside of the seeds are extremely hard. Just the way I was raised doing it .

I soak mine overnight in warm water. I was raised that way too.

How often do yall fertilize your gardens. I put fertilizer out right after I planted a week ago. Would it be ok to fertilize again now or should I wait. Also the lady at the coop talked me into getting triple 10 said it contained the micronutrients the plants needed and the other triple fertilizer didn't. Is this true or do I just need to get some more fertilizer.

Never got a stand of okra. Soaked my seed overnight this time and replanted today.

About once a month to six weeks. Your second question depends on what type of fertilizer it is. Just because it's triple 10 doesn't mean that it's got micronutrients in it, but if it's Super Rainbow brand, then it does have micros. Their other triple fertilizers may be a different brand.

My yellow pear tomato plants are starting to put on some blooms. I side dressed them and all my others with some fertilizer and lime, so hopefully all this rain will wash it in and help them put on some good fruit.[Linked Image]

She’s the most energetic dog I’ve ever met. She will go get that ball until you’re tired of throwing it.

Ok I'm stumped. I've got something eating my bell peppers leafs. Thought maybe army worms because it looks like their work. But can't find them. That's the only thing that is being eaten. I've seven dusted and still doing it. Suggestions? Thinking about pulling it up and replanting

I'm assuming you checked under the leaves and on the stems for any signs... I had something nibbling on my beans but fortunately they were able to grow faster than whatever was eating em and it's almost stopped now.

I've looked everywhere and the one plant is being eaten or whatever is going on.

Maybe Fur or one of the other experts will chime in soon. So it's just one plant?

Our little garden spot

[Linked Image]

This is a little spot I fixed up especially for beans and tomatoes. We put two dumptruck loads of gintrash on it a couple months ago. Seems to really be doing good. All of this stuff has made it through a bunch of cold and rain. Really just started growing good in the last two weeks. Cant see a row of peppers, we had to replant them, they got some sort of black spot fungus and I couldnt pull them out of it. Caused by all the rain. This is just the third year weve planted a garden by ourselves. We always pitched in with my dad on his garden. Best looking tomatoes and beans weve had.
