Ron I agree, but you don't know me from Adam. I strive everyday to teach and show my kids a good example. I may be completely wrong but I know in my heart I do a dang good job of that. I honestly think this is a great example to show them..our rights are being infringed on and I'm not to keen about that. I feel like we are living out the movie braveheart

How am I not following the rules in this situation. I am social distancing, we are allowed outdoor activities. Please tell me where I am not following the rules other than my rights are being taken away from
me. If I'm not allowed to take my family to a field I pay for, then stop charging me taxes for it.

This is going to sound extreme but it's the truth. It only takes one cop to end your life. Yes it's Fairhope yes your a taxplayer your kids may be great ballplayers in the making why would you do something to risk seeing them grow up? Remember in court you don't have to be right you just have to be reasonable.

Those park rules (closed) are for the other taxpayers not you.

The city or other entity owns the park. It's theirs, tax dollars or not. They can close it as they see fit. Pick another place and have fun.

Now, if you were told that you couldn't play ball in your yard, your pasture, your field, etc I'd be one of the ones that would defend you to the end.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Just for comparison, Daphne's parks are open. Signs say, Social distancing required, come at your own risk. I did not start this topic to create a fight, just wanted to hear opinions. I don't post a whole lot, but this has been quite an eye opening experience.

Wiley...being totally respectful towards you on this, but the city does not own the parks. Its citizen owned and paid for parks. Same with the high school fields. You will hear different, but I'm very good friends with the guy who built these fields and wrote the legislature on them. Any resident is allowed access to the high school fields. Now does that happen, no, but if they wanted to fight it then it would be a different story.

That’s what happens when you live in a artsy fartsy city full of liberalasshole yankees. I bet the parks aren’t closed in Saraland or Satsuma.

They're not going to be playing any organized ball for a while anyway so take your lemons and make lemonade. Take the kids fishing.

So which citizen holds the deed to the park and is it in his name?

Bonafide citizen owned and not municipal owned makes it totally different.

Regardless of your rights, it’s city property. You have every right to go out there and pay the consequences. The freedom is in the choice. Even if it’s silly, plenty of other places to throw and mess around. It’s probably more of a liability thing than anything.
