Every turkey in the woods gobbled ion the roost in Eoline (Bibb co). Pretty quiet now. Boss turkey shut up the bird I set up on.

Thank you jesus ! I've had the safety off on this bird 4 different times. 5th time was his last.

I had one gobbling good and close but never made a sound on the ground

I can’t find one that’ll gobble, or won’t gobble for that matter.

I'll try to add the pic later. Headed to a spot where I heard one Monday morning and with my work schedule I pretty much have to have him commit off the limb. Took a different approach to him this morning to get in the creek bottom where he went Monday. About half way down the hill a second turkey gobbled a lot closer. I eased off on a side road and set up just off the main road and before a 90 degree bend in the side road.

Both turkeys were gobbling sporadically and the hens opened up between the two gobblers. I gave a soft yelp on the slate and he answered. One hen got bossy and I yelped back at her. Saw movement just off the bend of the road and got the gun up. He strutted around the bend and finally gave me a shot. Pulled the trigger at 6:36. TSS 9's hammered him at 25-30 yards. No flop. A good ice breaker, 2 yo with about 8" beard and the most pitiful spurs on any I've ever taken. But after going 0-fer last year I'll take it.

Quick flash hunt in Macon county before work this morning. Didn't hear a peep except for a hen fly down cackle. Tomorrow I'll have more time to play with them.

Had 3 gobbling in Monday but only heard one this morning. Once he hit the ground he has been quiet. Sitting on a hardwood ridge now playing the waiting game. I hope something happens quick I’m getting hungry and down to my last Nature Valley bar.

I don’t know anybody with the last name Choquette who ain’t good at catching/killing critters! You have been on fire this year!

Struck one around 7:45 that was in a clear cut. He answered me the first two times but then showed little interest after that.
