I have it real bad and have dealt with it for many years.
It never stops and nothing I have ever tried has helped it.

If I go outside at night I can't hear the bugs in the yard, my ears are ringing louder than the bugs.
This! There’s no fix for it. You can only distract your mind with other noises.

Left ear has serious tinnitus and I can barely hear with it. Right ear has mild tinnitus. Difficult for me to have a conversation in a restaurant or crowded room. Same here but it’s my own fault. Didn’t wear hearing protection when I was younger. All I thought about was getting the job done and moving on the next one. Plus didn’t wear my ear plugs when operating top grade military equipment or firing weapons.

Hearing aids helped mine.

I don't know if it's tinnitus or something else, but I do sometimes have a ringing in my ears.....it comes/goes. My 2 biggest problems is that I have trouble making out a sound when there's a lot of background noise, like someone talking to me in a noisy room, and I have trouble pinpointing the direction of sound..............which especially sucks in the turkey woods because unless a gobble is CLOSE, I struggle really bad to determine the direction it came from. If a bird gobbles a few times in succession, I can usually turn my head a little in between and it helps pinpoint the general direction, but if it's just 1 faint gobble, it's useless.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

You have a hearing loss. Tinnitus is associated with hearing loss. I have learned to live with it and there is no rhyme or reason to what triggers an increase for mine.

My ears have been ringing since i was probably 20 years old. I shot in dove shoots twice a week when beginning at 14 years of age till I was about 22-23 years old. I’ve had my hearing checked a couple times and been told it’s fine. I’ve gotten used to it.

Mine is cured instantly every time I fire a gun without hearing protection in place, but it returns in force very shortly afterwards.

I would like to find some type of hearing device to avoid turning the TV up so high. Wireless would naturally be the preference and not being a techie I wonder if there is a reasonably prced solution? Wifi or Bluetooth? Whatever

Gotcha a tv that is bluetooth capable and a set of Trex Titanium Sport bone conduction headset is a perfect t solution. Said it here before, some if the best money I ever spent.

I keep a small fan on my desk in the clinic. That constant noise helps some and I run a fan at night in bedroom. Low level white noise may or may not help.
Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.

Mine started all of the sudden about 10 years ago. It also stopped all of the sudden about 8 years ago.

I've had it for several years now. I can usually tune it out. Then, somebody mentions it or I let myself notice it like right now.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
