60 confirmed cases under treatment at UAB, more than half on ventilators. Waiting on test results on more that are being treated There's currently 90 confirmed cases in Jefferson Co. and 215 in the state of Alabama. I seriously doubt that there are 60 confirmed cases at UAB and > 30 on vents. This would be disproportionate to other parts of the country in terms of percentage of pts requiring hospitalizations and those requiring ICU/vents. Could the demographic of patients change potentially change the percentage when comparing to other parts of the country?
