Listen guys, the order of operations are:
1) Post picture to aldeer 2) Then you can call your best friend, wife, brother, whatever. 3) Then handle the bird and clean it. 4) A more thorough explanation is expected at a later date on aldeer (that way we might actually learn what worked/didn't work for you)
p.s. - congrats to the killers!

You joke, but I’ve actually used a dog to recover a turkey that flew off after the shot. Well I wish I had a good Turkey recovery dog.. I'm somewhat new to hunting mountain turkeys but one thing i have learned is a dead Turkey can fly a long way ! I smashed a bird at 30 yards this morning and that dang thing flapped his wings twice and somehow made it to the bottom of the mountain. I heard it crash into a bunch of THICK privet around a creek that a jack leg logger destroyed. Looked and looked but no bird. My feelings are hurt... also feels wasteful.

I shot and missed this morning. We've all been there and all the sorry's in the world won't make it better. Hope you get back on him!

Gonna give him a few days. Pretty cool hunt none the less. He was henned up in a pasture. So I hit my belly. With a fan off a decoy. He seen it and strutted. All the way from 150 yards. To what I thought was 30 to 40 yards but was more like 50ish hard to judge distance in a pasture

Central alabama has been real slow with gobbles so far this season? Anybody hearing them?
Gobbled a little Saturday early, Sunday gobbled pretty good until 8 or so, didn't go Monday. Last 2 days I haven't heard or seen anything. I think the Rona got em
