Got a call from the nursing home my mom is in. They called to inform us the CDC has asked them to not allow any visitors until the virus has run its course. So we wont be able to visit her until they lift the ban.

It’s the safest thing for the people there. It’s running like wildfire thru nursing homes. You would be pissed if someone brought in the virus and your mother died.

Most everyone is sick in these nursing homes anyway. I went to one sunday in enterprise. The receptionist at the front was sick.

If they don't restrict the staff's contacts they're going to bring it in regardless. I'd ask for an official CDC statement on it, wouldn't be the first time someone faked "official " guidance from an agency.

This whole Corolla thing has got me totally confused.

But whens the last time they spent 10 Billion on the Flu?
Or quarantined cruise ships.
Evacuated people from other countries?
Quarantined entire cities?
When you ever heard of Senators self quarantining them selves?
Its all that's on TV, even Trump doing conferences on it.

Hard to know much without enough test kits. Hard to know how many are carriers when the young aren’t dramatically affected by it and couldn’t get tested even if they wanted/knew to.

Unless they quarantine the staff, they are still going to be exposed and it is highly doubtful that all staff follow the rigid hygiene protocol that they are taught. Every profession has those who are lazy and want to cut corners.

This is a real virus, but I, also, think that it is being over-hyped and is now a political football. The same guidelines to prevent most illnesses are the same for this one, but some folks are losing their minds and expecting the apocalypse so they are buying and hoarding so many things that the people who are not running around with their hair on fire cannot find these items on the shelves.

I was in line at the gas station earlier. Lady in front of me going on about how she hasn’t gotten her income taxes back yet. Said the IRS started all the virus talk so they could hold everyone’s $ longer.

Something we don't know, is definitely going on here. You can be rest assured, that the government of all these countries aren't over reacting. They know more than we do and it's pretty obvious. That is what scares me.

I believe that covid-19 exists. Since I am neither an epidemiologist or a virologist, I cannot say how much of a threat that it is to anyone. What I can state with a high degree of belief is that politics has over-ridden science, and that there are people making a butt-load of money off of it.

It exists. It’s not FAKE. To the degree that people are getting the severity of sickness may be hyped. But the actual virus is real.
