Like the title says. Whole gun. I don’t care what it looks like. I’m using it for a build on 6.5 PRC. I prefer reasonably priced. Doesn’t matter caliber. Just need a short action with a large bolt face.

Prefer close to Dothan.

If I was you, I would not built a 6.5 PRC on a Remington short action. Read about it, it’s not a good idea. I had one built on a short action and it was a mistake!

Winchester short actions work fine. Remington short actions have a shorter magazine box.

What the previous posters said. You better find a Winchester model 70 or so WSM action or you’ll be shorting yourself the goodies.

If you build off a short action you will have to send it to a gunsmith to put a wyatts box in it. I built mine off a big horn custom action, and went to a 6.5 saum, with a .081 freebore. i can load up to 143 eldx bullet in it. you can buy custom loads from copper creek ammo. the 6.5 saum will run a 140 accubond to over 3100 fps.

Francis Kuehl

He’s a good guy and knows what he’s doing. He’s well known in the long range competition realm and from what I’m told a dang good rifle builder.

With a Wyatt magazine box you can get an extra .150 OAL over a standard Remington box. Otherwise, I'd get a Winchester action or a custom action.
