I believe it is illegal to use any game fish as bait.

I doubt that a Judge anywhere in the State would enforce a ticket where the fisherman caught a crappie then put it on a hook for bait for a larger fish. If the District Judge didn’t dismiss the case I’m certain the jury in Circuit Court would acquit you.

Is it illegal to kill the stripes caught and throw them back. I heard a guy at the boat ramp saying every bass fisherman should stick a flat head screw driver through the eyes of every stripe they catch. Every dead one would be one less.

I dont know anybody that eats crappie heads. After cleaning a crappie or any other fish, why should I have to throw the head away. Looks to me I could use that for big catfish.

Circuit maybe, but District Court is a slam dunk on conviction.
