Did you mean, Cochran? I just saw where he left Alabama for Georgia, which is shocking.

I guess he got enough time in for his state of Alabama retirement.

central ala,
Bad, bad move. Strength and conditioning is fine. But getting ANYBODY from Alabama to coach special teams makes no sense unless it's the punt return coach. Just saying Cochran was on the same coaching staff as the FG kicking coach and the other coach was thought to be better for teaching FG kicking.

I’m glad he’s gone. All he does is run around screaming his head off. If notice during weigh ins at the combine/senior bowl the players mostly look like crap compared to their peers. I don’t recall many posting huge record setting combine numbers either. When you combine all that with the constant injuries, I’d say he’s all fluff and no substance. A friends claims to be friends with someone close to the program who is knowledgeable in sports science, and says he’s behind the times on strength training and doesn’t know as much as he makes out to.

I think it’ll hurt a little but it’s definitely not the end of the world. It will be interesting to see how he does as an on-the-field staffer. Does Kirby know something that Lord Saban doesn’t or is there a reason he never got another position with Bama.

I’m glad he’s gone. All the yelling and lights at the game get on my nerves.

Was reading somewhere that kirby had been trying to make this happen since he left. It was said they were tight. It is what it is...next man up.

Hopefully he takes his injury-prone training methods with him. Kinda glad we don't have to hear him yelling on the jumbotron anymore. I think it's definitely time for a fresh approach

Im sure Saban will be fine. Cochran seemed to of ran his course anyways. His training regiments definitely wasn't helping the players from an injury standpoint

Yep and how many times have we seen the defense get tired in the second half? So much for the "4th Quarter Conditioning Program" when you can't get off the field the entire 4th quarter. 1 stop is all we needed against LSU, Clemson, AU, etc

Cochran helped build the “process” with Coach Saban but these last few years I feel like the injuries have ramped up and it all can’t just be had luck. Good luck to Cochran but somebody fresh and hungry might be what we need.

Yawn. Ole miss would not even take him when he tried to get Lane to hire him. We already have a special teams coach and I dang sure have not seen us out physical any good team in 3 years nor out last one.

But he was a first class cheerleader.

Anyone heard any gossip on who Alabama targets as a replacement?
