I didn’t see the wreck but have been reading about this on several sports news media and it doesn’t look good at all. Praying for positive results for him and praying for all involved. Especially his family.

Denny Hamlin and Joe Gibbs racing issued an apology. No one had a way of knowing the severity of it at the time he did the burn outs. Everybody is being overly sensitive about it. I agree. As soon as they were told the severity they calmed right down on their celebration. Prayers for Ryan - that was a bad one! I met him several years ago and he's a stand up guy!

Strange that it has taken this long to get an update. Yeah. Told my oldest son (he's 17 now) earlier cause he was a Newman & Jr fan, that it ain't looking good at all. He stopped watching a few years ago when i did, but i could see the sadness in his eyes 😩

Seeing it on TV is one thing but if you've never been to Talladega and seen how fast those cars actually go, I don't think you can comprehend how bad that wreck was. Television really does an injustice to how fast a car going nearly 200 MPH is actually going.

Strange that it has taken this long to get an update. It's not strange. NASCAR is either waiting until doctors can stabilize him and give family-team-NASCAR some kind of info, or he's dead and they're waiting on family and team members to have some time before the announcement is made. It's one or the other. NASCAR isn't going to rush into it. Among the silence is nothing on Twitter from NASCAR or the teams' official feeds, other drivers, AP racing writer Jenna Fryer, JAYSKI or FOX. It's literally silent. That's good in there's no rampant speculation (which is terrible) but it's also not good the longer we have no news.
